Workshop Description

If you liked the introductory level of ‘Fun Little Sex Games’ (or you’ve done similar workshops before) and are ready to take things to the next level, then this intermediate workshop is for you.
By now you know that Fun Little Sex Games are geared around being accessible and fun. But you also know that they weave in a lot of self-development, relationship and sexuality skills. In this intermediate workshop, you are offered some more substantial investments in these areas; activities are still well defined and with easily understood structures, but they will be a deeper exploration of your self-development and sexual learning.
The workshop includes:
• A brief revisit of the fundamental boundary-setting activities from the introductory class – safety, and your boundaries, are crucial
• Really juicy stuff on the subtleties of communication between partners, including how to identify and clarify confused, mixed, and blurry feedback – we will be diving into some great psychology material
• Several practices to continue to strengthen your relationship to your body, and your mind-body connection
• Active receiving: Taking full agency and responsibility for what we want, and don’t want
• Pulling back the projection of our sexuality and attraction onto others, and reclaiming it as our own
• More advanced breathing techniques, including a nod in the direction of visualisation and energy work (as backed by science, of course!)
• Some solo practices, some pair-work (see details below), and at least one delightful group activity. And a small amount of theory.

The workshop is pitched at people wanting to get more serious about their sexuality. It will appeal to:
• People in relationships that have agreed they would like to go to new levels.
• Individuals that want more than a quick flirt with their sexuality and self-development.
• Sex workers and other touch professionals seeking more self-confidence and communication tools (as well as tools for working with clients).

INTENSITY: Moderate. This class fits between the introductory ‘Fun Little Sex Games’ and ‘Take Me Deeper’.
WHO FOR: People wanting to invest in their sexuality, relationship, and self-development skills. You should have already done introductory ‘Fun Little Sex Games’ or other similar workshops.
WHO NOT FOR: Not for people taking their first steps into the world of sexuality – please attend ‘Fun Little Sex Games’, or something like it, first. Not for people uncomfortable sharing space with people of a variety of different genders.
WILL THERE BE PARTNER WORK?: Yes. There will be some solo practices, some pair-work (see below), and some group exercises.
HOW WILL PARTNERING BE DONE?: For pair-work exercises, people without a partner will be paired by the facilitator using a random system, without reference to gender or anything else. Every activity can be done just to the level that’s right for you at the time, however if you are uncomfortable doing basic touch exercises with people of a particular gender (or anything else), the only way to achieve that is by bringing a partner / friend.
CAN YOU WORK WITH AN EXISTING PARTNER / FRIEND?: Partly – most of the pair-work exercises can be done just with a nominated partner. However, there are some gentle group practices, and some simple pair-work activities done with others.
NUDITY: Possible, in that some participants may want to remove items of clothing for some exercises, but nudity is not a focus of this workshop. There is no expectation that you will be naked.
SEXUAL CONTENT: The workshop is primarily about sexuality. Adult concepts will be discussed and practiced.
COMMITMENT: Anyone may always sit out of any activity as they wish. Larger activities will be described before they begin, so that you can make an informed decision about your level of participation. The “element of surprise” is studiously avoided.
RATIO EXPERIENTIAL / THEORETICAL: About 75% practical, 25% theoretical or discussion.
BRING: Lunch (or buy from local cafes), snacks, water bottle.
WEAR: Anything that makes you comfortable.

PRICE: $110-$140
Pricing is in three rounds: ten tickets at $95, six tickets at $125, and ten tickets at $155. Effectively, this means getting in early to get a concession / early-bird / discounted ticket!

This is a “first run, slightly experimental” workshop; it is the first time Curious Creatures have assembled this particular combination of theory and practices. The pricing has been reduced, accordingly, and slightly more time will be spent gaining your feedback at the end of the workshop.

Curious Creatures run a wide variety of kink, tantra, sex-positivity, and psychology workshops. The best way to stay informed of upcoming events is to join the Community and Events Newsletter here: http://www.curiouscreatures.biz/contact.html

Generic fine-print for Curious Creatures workshops:
By booking a place at this workshop I confirm:
- I will not reveal names or identifiable details of any workshop participants
- I have no history of falling into altered states of consciousness (e.g. extremely strong moods, psychotic or schizophrenic states, numbness) where I am unable to communicate and look after myself
- I will take responsibility for saying ‘no’ to any event, experience or exchange that is not right for me, regardless of how simple or intense the experience may seem. It is always my right to say 'no'
- If at any point during the course of the workshop I feel it is not right for me, I may leave. I will try to get in touch with facilitators afterwards to let them know why I left
- I am an adult and I understand that this workshop contains adult content.
